"On one of my market days, I happened to find this pair of
well used rubber boots. I wanted to create a strong and bold
design on this one. I found a certain kind of beauty in the
simplicity of their shape and contrast to the sidewalk."

Nice painting... love the abstract design of the forms and the simplicity of the idea.

I did several sketches of these boots for the exact reasons you like the piece.
They became simple bold dark shapes that I could contrast against the sidewalk. Just one of those moments that worked out. Thanks for the compliment. Linda
