owned the Gem Bottling Company in
Wellston, Ohio for 61 years. This is one of
the earliest glass molded bottles,
only 9" tall."

I love this painting, which really takes me down memory lane. I was born in nearby Jackson, Ohio and fondly remember Gem's line of pop, and the heavy, rather ornate glass bottles they came in. Gem cream soda was my favorite.
