This is antelope girl. She is a woodland creature that enjoys sitting in quiet places.

They are very rare, so it is said that they bring good luck and peace of

mind to anyone who may see them.

This is definitely a one of a kind, all handmade.

Her head, hands and feet are sculpted paperclay,delicately painted and beautiful BLUE glass eyes.

She has a stuffed cloth body with a wire armature in the arms and legs for gentle adjustments.

There is a bark cloth covered heart inserted in her body, trimmed with a cloth braid and beads.

Doe skin cloth on arms and legs. Feather neck bodice, leather in ears and twig antlers.

This is a new wall sculpture of mixed media.
We all seem to have a big connection to the moon and it's cycles
and who doesn't need a good howl once in a while?

The body is paperclay and has a bone carved moon inset in the front.
A bundle of sticks come out of the bottom.
Stick arms and sculpted head and hands. There are also metal pieces that
create a necklace.
It is painted with a graduation of night sky blues with tiny stars
at the bottom.

This is a full sculpted piece and is designed to hang on a wall.
Delicately hand painted.

Here is little Wilber with his new best friend,Emily.
Wilber rescued the baby chick at the nearby farm
of Phineas Butterbee after seeing him take the chicks
mother away. They quickly became fast friends.

The Symphony - Appletree Hollow Band

May 31, 1862

These are two of the members in the horn section of the
Appletree Hollow Symphony, Terry Thomas and Teresa Lewis.
Both were born and raised in Appletree Hollow. Although they
were from large families, they captured the attention of
the residents at a very early age by recreating the sounds
of nature on small homemade horns.
I am sure there must be other diary entries but all I know,
at this time,is that they started the Appletree Hollow -
"Symphony of Sounds" at the young age of 16.
I hope to find more information in one of the other diary journals.

Walter (Wit)Man
May 31, 1819 – March 26, 1892

The third of nine children, he was nicknamed "Walt" to distinguish him from his father, Walter Man Sr. At age four, he moved with his family from Brooklyn, living in a series of homes, in part due to his father’s bad investments. Walt looked back on his childhood as restless and unhappy, given his family's difficult economic status.
At age eleven Walt concluded formal schooling. He then sought employment for further income for his family; he was an apprentice and printer's devil for the weekly newspaper. There, he learned about the printing press and typesetting. He wrote "sentimental bits" of filler material for occasional issues.
He attempted to find further work but had difficulty due to a general collapse in the economy leading up to the Panic of 1837. He taught intermittently at various schools until the spring of 1838, though he was not satisfied as a teacher.
He moved to Appletree Hollow in 1939 and founded his own newspaper, the Hollow Gazette. He served as publisher, editor, pressman, and distributor and even provided home delivery. During this time, he published a series of editorials called "Sun-Down on the Hollow ". Based on his poetry, he was given the nickname of “Wit”. His poetry depicts love and sexuality in a more earthy, individualistic way common in American culture before the late 19th century, although it was often labeled pornographic or obscene. A biographer wrote, "the discussion of Walt's sexual orientation will probably continue in spite of whatever evidence emerges."
He sold the Hollow Gazette and continued his writing until his peaceful passing in 1892. Appletree residents built a monument to honor his contribution to the community.

On a recent trip to the world of "All Things Possible",I went on a
tour that took me to the edge. There, at the crossroads of
Aloha Boulevard and Lotus Blossom Lane, I found the most amazing
view and was lucky enough to witness someone harvesting the seeds
of the Lotus plants. These seeds are said to help one attain a
new level of spiritual enlightenment.
